What makes you think we're clicking them?
 

Some of us have the "Show all of thread instead of single messages" turned on. That means, when I click on any post within a thread, the entire thread loads (so I can read the entire thread with just 1 click). When I do that, all of the messages load, including the "NT" messages, and they all get an increment on their counter.

Not IMO. I hate having to continuously go back and forth, clicking on every link just
 

to read the entire thread. Especially if you're trying to follow a conversation that has multiple replies.
