Few small problems with my 07 A8 with 13k miles....pls help

I am brand new to Audi!


So far, I really enjoy the car. Just a few small things.

1. The passenger side ventilated seats aren't working properly--I twist the dial to a number (1-6) and it automatically resets to 0... Here is the video I took of the problem


2. When I go into the TPMS settings I am not seeing ANY tire pressures for any of the 5 wheels..just all blank. And the TPMS light comes on constantly, I can "change wheels" and the light goes away but the light will come back about 20 miles later...what could be the problem? Dead batteries in ALL 5 dag gum sensors?

Not sure about the ventilated seat issue but your TPMS issue is probably bad batteries. The batteries usually run out after 5-7 years. You can confirm this by scanning with VCDS.

Okay, thanks. Where do you recommend I buy the sensors from?? And how do I do a VCDS scan? I literally have had the car for 5 days, so I am just now learning about the Audi terms.

Does it still reset if you quickly push it in to lock in your selection? Could be with the setting on how long it waits to disappear. Could be resetting to 0 because it is tied with that, and you not making a selection.

I never tried to push it in to lock the number in...because I never had to do that on the Drivers side ventilated seats....I just went to the desired number and it automatically locked that number in place..

well, just went to the car and try to quickly push it in and lock in selection, but it still didn't lock the selection in place. Still having the same problem..

The heated seats on the passenger side work fine, just not the cooled.....weird....

New aftermarket sensors here.

okay, thanks. I just need 4 of them..not 5? does the spare have a sensor in it too????

Yes it has it too, but the system works without that one. Not if any other is not working.

No TPMS on spare for cars w/20" wheels
 

I believe that the spare in the trunk does not have a TPMS sensor if you have 20" wheels (the wheel well in the trunk is too small to accommodate a 20" wheel and tire, so the spare tire is on a smaller rim without a sensor since it is not intended to be put on on any of the four corners for any length of time). If your wheels are smaller than 20", you should have a TMPS sensor in the spare too.

BTW, what's the backstory on your car's low mileage (only driven to the grocery store once a week by a little old lady)?
