What's the difference Stage 3 Clutch vs Stock Clutch?

Alright can someone fill in the differences between a stage 3 and a stock clutch? I know I can drop the stage 3 at higher RPMs and it's stronger but how does it effect my daily driving? Other bennefits/drawbacks? Some of the racing clutches cause more problems then they solve so just wanted to get your read on it

Thanks in advance

Re: What's the difference Stage 3 Clutch vs Stock Clutch?

I have the Spec stg III. To tell you the truth it's kind of annoying for daily driving at first because I guess you could say that's it's on/off. With the stock clutches ou have more leeway, with the spec, higher reving is required to get a smooth take off. Also with the LWFW, there is some chatter. Performance wise it's great for holding rpm's and quick launching. Once you get used to them they are fun to drive.

I have a southbend OFE and with the stock flywheel..It feels STOCK!!...

I would go this route if you wanted a beefier clutch but wanted to maintain everyday driveability.

Where did you get it and how much did you pay?

I got it directly from Southbend..(link enclosed)...

Their customer service is great. Talk to Andy if you need to.<ul><li><a href="http://www.dxdracingclutches.com/home.html">Southbend</a></li></ul>
