Help - got a flat tire today. stripped lug nut head trying to change it.
 

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get a rounded lug nut off?

That wrench that comes with the car is useless. I had just had my pupils dilated at the doctor, ran over a curb because I couldn't see anything, then tryied to change the tire and ended up stripping the head of one of the lugs because I couldn't see what I was doing. So now the car is stuck at the gas station with a blown out tire that I can't get off. Every time I put a wrench on it, I just round it more and I really don't want to leave my car overnight there.

Also, does anybody have a used Pirelli PZero that fits the stock wheels, because mine is unsalvageable.

they make tools for that . Why were you driveing like that ?

You couldn't see so you decided to drive?

I was driving like that because that's what they tell you to do at the doctor's office ('just be careful'). In all honesty, I probably would have hit it if my eyes were fine -- it was one of those raised 1" concrete triangles that separates the turning lane from the regular lane. People hit it all the time -- it serves no purpose.

Since the other posts were so helpful, I decided to give you my two cents...

Sears has sockets especially designed for removing rounded bolt head (or nuts). The sockets have little spiral edges that 'cut' into the bolt and remove it. They come in a set and probably cost around $30, but they should take that rounded stud out.
