Q5 2.0 uses timing belt or timing chain?

It seems 3.2 engine uses timing chain; how about 2.0 engine?

2.0T uses a timing chain.

These are Audis. No rubberbands. ;)

My '04 A4 3.0 uses timing belt... and they are quite expensive to replace (timing belt, water pump, thermostat, roller... etc). It's nice to hear Q5 uses timing chain. :)

The 2.0 TFSI Q5 uses the EA888 engine which does indeed use a chain driven cam.

Plenty of reading on the net about this engine.
