GIAC X Chip installation

I have a 2000 A6 2.7t tip, im looking to purchase a giac x chip, is there any programming needed?? can the installation be done by me??

The chip is the program ...

installation not for the novice. The stock chip needs to be un-soldered and the new chip soldered in its place - about 24 pins.
