for those of you running Stage III, have you ever had any of these problems?

my car is a '00 1.8t. i've had the stage III in for about a month now. Every now and then when i switch between programs, the check engine light goes on. i usually dismiss this as a programming error and reset it but it came on while i was driving today. curious. also, did the stage III mess with anyone else's trip computer? my trip comp says that the car is getting an average of 33.5mpg which i know is absolutely wrong. the immediate mpg is all f-ed up too. anybody know how to fix this? what is average mpg for a stage III?

oh yeah, the trip avg
Hmm, the computer thinks it is running less gas than it thinks since you have larger injectors. the mpg number can be adjusted with a VAG tool. No, I don't know how.

Here's how
Go to instruments (17), adaptation (10), channel #3, enter new number - higher for greater consumption, example from my car:
# - mpg
115 - 22.9
110 - 23.8
105 - 25.1
100 - 26.3
95 - 27.8
90 - 29.2
85 - 30.8
default setting is 100, output is time filtered takes a minute or so to achieve new value
# - mpg

85 - 30.8

The computer is wacky for a very good reason....
No idea about the check light, never had that problem. Get a vag and see what the codes are.
NOW...
The larger injectors use a different duty cycle that the stock ones, due to the higher flow rate. The trip computer is designed to compute the data based on the STOCK injectors, whicjh would at any given point be pulsing faster than the Stage 3 injectors, hence it thinks that you are using less fuel when computing things like MPG and such.
I talked to Brett at APR, and the fix is not dificult - matter of fact they know what to do, but it's a low priority. I gave him data from the trip computer and also real info based on distance traveled and gas used. the delta mated exactly the ratio of the injectors. Go figure.

I see the same problems in the Audi 2000 that I just purchased. Bing, could you tell me if you figured out how to keep the check engine light off? Any progress in getting the trip computer programmed right?

Searched and still no definite answers. Will the CM stage 3 clutch be enough for my ASP stage 3 car?
