Default Ok everyone, it's POLL time... Aluminum Racing Jack (which one?)

I've been in the market for a new one and have had some bad expereinces with a big red torin 2 ton jack (fell apart) and have looked at the stuff on harbor frieght and the likes.

I like the Aluminum Racing Jacks that are bout 35-50 lbs and have a low clearance and seem to be about 120 bucks.

so that said, and a trip to www.froogle.com in tow... which one's do you guys like? post links and pics if ya got em.

TIA.

Default i have a problem with my aluminum jack. those aluminum 'lifting ends' wore out quickly

so it now slides out each time you pump the jack instead of the jack rolling to a new spot

Default We've had the Ranger brand aluminum jack for almost 4 years.

It goes to the race track and everywhere else. Very durable with no issues regarding functionality.

I like my sears one but it's on the heavy side for lift capacity, weight and price.

The small HF jack is cool and cheap and is probably OK if you baby it but it will not stand up to hard use, like for a race car. Parts are not cheap and have to be ordered from who knows where.

Default I have the same one as Audiboy...

I feel safe with it..and that is the most important thing to me. I have an older non-aluminum Sears one..gray in color..that weighs 15 tons...that is a pain to move around ...and noisier than crap (casters).
