Default Me, my tint and my love for the Vancouver Police

I have a court order to remove the tint from my front windows and have it inspected my a member of the Vancouver Police Department by this Friday to avoid the fine.

So I comply and go to Advanced Tint yesterday to have the film removed and I bring the car today to the Vancouver Police Department on Main and ask for an officer to inspect it.

The officer comes out, looks at the front driver and passenger side windows and says "there is still tint on the windows"

"That is the factory tint on the windows officer"
"The order says to remove tint from the front windows"
"I had the film removed officer, that tint you see is in the glass and comes that way from the factory. You aren't expecting me to replace the windows are you?"
"I understand that but there is still tint in the window. Do you have a receipt showing that you had the tint removed?"

[imagine me smashing my head into a wall...]

I don't have the receipt with me so I have Advanced Tint fax me a copy and I go back to the Vancouver Police Department and another officer comes out and inspects the car.

"Please roll down the window a bit"

So I do and the officer tries to peel off the phantom tint that doesn't exist.

"How come the window is still tinted. I can see the tint."

[imagine me smashing my head into a wall... again]

I explain that glass comes like that from the factory.

He tries to peel the tint off the glass again. He fails so he goes inside and gets another officer to come out.

The second officer looks at the glass and explains to the first one that the tint is in the glass and cannot be removed. So they say I am free to go and I ask them to sign off on my document to prove that the condition was met.

The first officer doesn't want to sign it and the two of them discuss this for about 10 minutes before the second officer signs off my document walks away.

Unreal.

Default are you talking about the 98-95% tint that comes on all new cars, wonder what they would

think of new cars like the R32 that have a blueish tint to all of the windows.

So is this vancouver Wa police? or Vancouver BC?

Default It doesn't matter which Vancouver it is:

both of them are **** when it comes to retarded/corrupt/ignorant law enforcement officials.

I was cruising on I-5 in Vancouver and I had some pr!ck state patrol pull me over....

"Do you know why I pulled you over?"

*me* No, have no idea

"Your truck seems to be a little tall"

*me* ORLY? where is your measuring stick

"I don't need a measuring stick, I can tell just by looking at it, it is too tall"

*me* do what you need to do, i've got better things to do with my time.

"Here is your ticket, do you know how to handle it, do you know where our courthouse is"

*me* Thanks for making me aware of 'problem'

I went home and looked up the RCW, he wrote me up for 'overwidth' vehicle, not 'overheight' vehicle. I still LOL to this day.

Default 1990 F-250 9" Lift, 38" TSL S. Swampers

I had an unbelievable amount of problems with
law enforcement and that truck, I would still
have it to this day if it wasn't for them. I
don't know what it was, I always saw trucks
just as big if not bigger and just as ugly if
not uglier.

I built this truck from nothing FWIW. The first
thing i've ever "assembled" and only
spent money on tires.

Funny story, I got pulled over by a county
sheriff one day, I was doing absolutley nothing
wrong. When he pulled me over, I asked him why.
He never gave me an reason that made any sense,
in fact I really don't know what he said at
that point, I was so pissed. I told him:

"I'm so ****ing sick of your 'people'
giving me a hard time for nothing. I want you
to tell me EVERYTHING that is wrong with my
vehicle RIGHT now so I don't have to deal with
this **** anymore!"

& this is what came out of his mouth:

1) Tint is too dark (he didn't have his 'meter' to check it, but he could tell just by looking)
2) Your lift is illegal (I called him out on this, but he insisted)
3) Your TIRES are illegal (also made a statement about this and the DOT stamp branded into the side of the tire)
4) Front licence plate not mounted solid
5) Missing a mud flap

Default Wow,,, I guess I'm just lucky. I still have never received a ticket for no front plate or tint

And I've run 5 to 20% tint and no front plate on all my cars since I've had my drivers license...
