Anyone know what 12E from I-5 eastward is like? I need to drive from Olympia to Hermiston, OR &
am trying to find the best route.
Was wondering about I-5 South to 12 East to 82 South. I have never been on 12 East before. Anyone know what the road is like?
Mapquest & Google want to send me up thru Snoqualmie pass & down or down to Portland then across 84.
Distance is about the same with all 3 routes, but the time varies by about an hour.

I84 east the bridge is closed at Biggs Jnctn iirc might be open by now. Plus with The Tieton River
so high right now you might run into some washouts in 12E. I'd stick with I90 to I82.

2 lane most of the way, good twisties, no cops 'til you're east of white pass.
just drove to Boise monday, interstate is all clear, though they might get snow in the next day or 2 in Blue mtns...
