    AT&T wireless is charged a small fee to terminate a text to VZW and viceversa.

    Why can't companies like GOOG and Yahoo, etc be charged to send that same txt?

    Of course the only person that will truly be affected will be the VZW cell owner that doens't have a text plan. That same user is probably being charged now to receive the txt anyway.
