I don't have Verizon thankfully, but I really hope the other carriers don't pick up this practice. I use the "Send to my phone" feature all the time on Yelp and Google, also have a lot of SMS reminders in my Google Calendar as well as from various other services (banks etc.) Would suck if those services couldn't survive because of something like this.
