Just two examples, I know I've heard him say it quite a few other times. These were literally said by him back-to-back in answers to two questions.

"In Lebanon, I stood up to President Reagan, my hero, and said, if we send Marines in there, how can we possibly beneficially affect this situation?"

"You know, my hero is a guy named Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt used to say walk softly -- talk softly, but carry a big stick."
