Default Embarressing Audi MMI /SD card question

Disclaimer :Im sure SD cards have been in cars for years, but Ive apparently been in the dark. How to you put music onto an SD card for the Audi MMI system? I know drag and drop my files-but how do you convert files to the appropriate file type, and what is the right file type? TIA

And yes, I just learned what Bluetooth does too this weekend....how to use it is another story.

Default You can just copy mp3s straight to the SD card and it'll play em.

Default mmi is old tech. super limited to capacity of iirc 512mgs. thats why sd took off.

Default MMC you mean? Audi MMI is the interface. sure it plays regular mp3's off an sd card

although i dont think it reads sdhc or cards over 1 gb, and the folders are limited to mp3 content as well.

Default oh man. i don;t know...was trying to give a brief history of the origins.

soon as i got my 256meg chip for 65$ several years ago i KNEW that was the future. wrote a paper on it for class at the time.

dummy terminals will be like phone booths were in the 80's. slide in your chip/drive...blam...instant personal pc.

wrote about that too.

when the 256 was 65$ the 512 was 300 and the 1gih was 1k.

Default Plays up to 8GB as long as it is not SDHC. Still has the file limit though.
