Which one is better? Anchor Audi in Lynbrook, NY or Riverside Audi in NJ?

since when do you need a degree in metallurgy to refinish curb rash and bent wheels from pot holes?
The same way I don't need a Harvard MBA greeting me at my local bank when I want a simple loan or opening up a checking account and then charging me 3x more in commission for the priviledge..
Maybe that just tells you he failed at the profession he aspired for and now fixes wheeels instead...

agreed. They tried to put him in a rental because they had no Audi loaners available
Now this guys is a pretty successful businessman, so he wasnt taking that sitting down. He went off telling them he doesnt give a fvck whose car it is, he's not leaving in anything short of an A6 just like the one they chucked onto the floor of their shop so you better bust out a demo or get me an employee's car! They put him in a car and ultimately fixed it. Good enough for him as it was a lease.

While I am not a metallurgist, I would suspect the degree would allow you to better evaluate
how metals react to things like welding and powder coating. Metals are odd things and inputs like high temperatures do have an influence on them.
I will also say that his prices are not 3xs everyone else. He is comparable in cost to most independent reputable wheel repair places. In fact, for many people he has been cheaper than others. I know S&L damn near destroyed Tom's one of Champions and George was able to salvage them.
I will also tell you I paid some where around $150 to have my business partner's stock MB wheel straightened (I think this is a fair price). The shop the car was at said they were not repairable and actually laughed at me when I said my guy could fix it. Not only did George fix it, he did it that same day in about an hour. Moreover, when I brought the wheel back they shop could not distinguish that wheel from the other 3 and admitted this was hands down, by far, the best wheel repair job they have ever seen.
Look, if you are happy going to Ghetto Rimz Yo for wheel repairs, good luck on that. I am always willing to pay a bit more for quality service.
