The GF and I are headlin to Boston this weekend...any tips??

Yeah, I'm serious...he's going with the GF ;) and it's a beautifull mall..
...it's only 5 minutes or so outside the city lines.
And Bertucci's is worth the trip for a nice lunch while there.

He's going to Boston and you suggest he goes to Bertuccis for Italian food?
Dude, you're whacked.
I know where the Atrium is and I've been there countless times. Boston offers so much more and better. If they want shopping send them to Newbury or Faneuil Hall. At least it's outside and still downtown.
Besides...BERTUCCIS?! If you're going to send them to a chain restaurant for Italian in Boston (which almost seems sacrilegious to do as a tourist), send them to Maggianos. Personally, if I'm in Brookline and want cheap, casual Italian, I'd go to Vinny Testa's....not 4 star by any means but its great family style cuisine in a VERY casual environment.
But he's taking a trip into Boston. Since he's going to be downtown, if he wants Italian, how can you NOT send him to the North End where there are countless places to get awesome Italian food?
Just my $.02,
-Eric

GIVE ME A FREAKIN' BREAK...OKAY......
Holy crap!!! What's you problem????????
I'm not telling him to spend a whole weekend at the mall. I've made at least 6 trips from where we live to Boston. Three of those trips I had a different female traveler with me, and they all enjoyed a trip to that mall. That was my real-world experience.
He asked for a tip. It was a suggestion. He can take it, or leave it.
And Bertucci's was something I suggested to eat while at the mall for a lunch, or snack...not a business dinner. I've eaten there several times, and the food was very good and the service excellent. I wasn't looking to send him all over town for the BEST Italian food.
Get over it.

2nd, Brown Sugar is a HUGE hit!!...also...
I'd try to head over to Harvard Square, lot's going on there. If you do make it to Cambridge, East Coast Grill has very inventive food and a nice vibe. In downtown Boston Match, at 94 Massachusetts Ave., is a nice lounge with terrific food. Women always love the place, I think your GF will. Marina Bay in Quincy would be a nice spot to spend a Saturday afternoon. On the water (obviously, hence the name) with some nice bars to watch the boats and enjoy the sun.

I'll see your chipotle BBQ snack wrap...
...and raise you a Triple Whopper with cheese from BK and a Cheesy Gordita Crunch from Taco Bell.
But I still wouldn't send a tourist to Boston asking for tips on places to go to a chain Italian joint. Bertuccis is Bertuccis whether it's in Boston or Melville, Long Island. You don't need to spend crazy cash to get awesome Italian food at a great place...ESPECIALLY in Boston.
