I am new to this forum. I am looking for Audi mechanics in the state of New Jersey who offers competitive rates. I need to get a lot of work done on an A4 2.8 Quattro that has been sitting in the garage for over a year. I am looking into getting the timing belt replaced (currently at 159k), replacing the EGR valve, and repairing a broken ignition switch (spring latch broken). Can someone recommend a place where I won't get raped like going to the dealer? I am also willing to consider paying cash for a free lance mechanic with lots of experience.

My ignition switch broke as well, but was replaced by a recall. Call a dealership and see if they can replace for free!

Try KDM Tuning - they are in NNJ in Mountain lakes, speak to Dion (Manager) or Danny (owner). I used to use them for my S8 when I had it and they were in Westwood.
