Default Some thoughts...

A favorite dealer to purchase from is Ernst Gosch at Diablo Audi in Concord. He stays very informed and is straightforward in negotiating a good price. (888) 455-9395 x138

A good dealer for service is Rector in Burlingame. Also a very nice showroom, and some salespersons that are recommended, including David Leibenson. They don't offer the best prices, but one might negotiate. (650) 348-0111

I was happy buying and servicing at my local dealer, Stevens Creek in San Jose (also called Anderson-Behel). This can be more convenient because they tend to treat you as a second-class citizen if you get service from a dealer other than where you bought. I bought from a Porsche specialist, by happenstance, named Bob Stewart. I went in with a very low price that I was willing to pay, else I would wait. I listed the colors and options I wanted, and said if he could find that I'd pay $X over invoice, otherwise I'd prefer to wait for the new year. He called a day later with the right car and price. They tried one time to raise the price, but I said that it was beyond what I was willing to pay. (Don't get into rationale with them). (408) 244-5400

Appreciate the detail. Thanks for the advice. Any feedback about Carlsen Audi at Palo Alto?

Default Christopher Bearman was straightforward to deal with at Carlsen

I ordered an S4 Avant as soon as they were announced and paid list price, back when money was cheap. I've got no idea how they are on price negociation, but I must say that Chris kept me informed at every step of the process, knew the car inside and out, and was a pleasure to deal with. Service has been okay at Carlsen recently.

Default For sales..or service...or both

I have experience taking my Audis to:

Carlsen in Palo Alto
Rector in Burlingame
Anderson-Behl in San Jose
Diablo in Concord

For service I was going to Anderson-Behl in SJ...I DO NOT recommend Carlsen...they once again pissed me off just a couple of months ago...guess its gonna take another 2.5 years before I try them again....too bad for them. George at Anderson Behl is good..as is Hector at Rector. I have not been to Diablo for service lately..but I bought THREE new Audis from Diablo.

For sales, I still recommend Ernst @ Diablo...Stoney..Ernesto (ERT)...Sharon...and tons of others have bought from Ernst. 925-682-3150 x138

Default Agree, but just for the record...

I never completed the purchase with Ernst (financial reasons... though Ernst was great). He was great, though, and has my highest recommendation. Most knowledgeable, straightforward, respectful, no-nonsense, trustworthy.

OTOH, if you know what you want and what you want to pay, you can buy from almost anyone, if you want to buy local.

Default no buying experience but their service dept is unprofessional

Don't get me wrong they do have knowledgeable techs etc. but they constantly took my car for jobs quoted 2-3 hours but couldn't get to it that day so it would end up being a 2-3 day stint.. wouldn't call back, basically sloppy service

Default Sonnen in Marin has served me well.

Wanted an ALMS TT. Went to Sonnen and got great treatment when purchasing the car. No BS. Have been there once since then for service and they were helpful and knew what they were doing.

Default and me

Ernst is cool.

I second the Hector @ Rector recommendation, and as an added bonus you get to say "Hector at Rector".

Default We got along well with Mike Bradley in sales. Also, parts department...

... offers discounts if you are a Norcal Audi Club member. Contact Mike Evanachek (I've also worked with Linda and other guys) at (650) 856-6300.
