Timing Belt Audi Mechanic in the South Bay
I have an 2001 Audi A6 2.7T with almost 70K and I want to get my timing belt replaced. Is there a good audi-certified mechanic in my area? Also, are there other things I should get replaced while this job is being done? (Since I bought this car used, I have no idea of what has been done. However, it has been in for scheduled maintenance while under warranty.)
I also had my headlight damaged and got some quotes for a repair. The headlight itself costs $900 from the body shops. Can I buy it myself (for $500 online) and have someone install it?
Thanks.

Call Dad's auto wrecking (in Sac) they specialize in good used Audi/Vw parts for your headlight.
I don't know about audi certified, but I take my cars to Freds Garage in Redwood City. Been doing so for years!

IIRC none of these guys are "Audi Certified" I'm certified but that's another story.

I do em by the book and have never had a timing belt related come back.
I kind of like doing them. I take great pride in doing common things uncommonly well.
Not the cheapest, but one often gets what one pays for.
We have extra headlights laying around as well. We can make you an unbeatable deal.

http://streetwerke.com</a
