Default Any recommendations on a place to have my front windshield replaced in the bay area?

Either East Bay or South Bay would work. After 130k miles my original windshield is pitted to the point of being hazed out when heading into the sun.

Talke to the dealership and they said @$400. Figured I would try to get a quote from a couple of recommended shops from the NorCal BT.

Thanks-
Ernesto

Default I've thought about that.... but with my luck the rock will hit my hood and scratch the paint or

crack the headlight cover.

BTW- glad to see you're still visting the old neighborhood and posting.

Default I'm not sure of the company's name, but I had a mobile service replace...

the windshield on my old A6 at my home. They recommended that they install it in the garage though instead of the driveway. Sorry, I can't remember the name, but I bet you could find a few mobile window repair companies in your local area if you did a search. I believe I paid about $300, but that was at least 3 yrs. ago.

Default Pacific Glass, Campbell ...

I replaced my windshield (TT Coupe 2002)last year at Pacific Glass, Campbell, 408 866-0880.

They installed an after market windshield identical to the original one from Audi (same manufacturer, Securit) but without the Audi logo for about 400$ parts and labor.

Very happy with the windshield and the worksmanship.

I found them on Google. Try Google Local search for 'auto glass'.
