OT- Any advice on mtn. bike trails around Tahoe (great views) for a weekend visit at the beginner to intermediate level?

I trust you've done this one. Any area hotels you'd recommend? We haven't been to Tahoe in 20 years so we are looking forward to it. Probably going up on a Friday morn and returning Monday. Thanks for the Flume trail info. It looks great.

so my mind is a little rusty. We used to rent a condo in Incline, so that's where we'd stay, but there are a ton of places around the state line (Hyatt, CalNeva, and a bunch of others). IIRC, there's a lot of lower budget places around Kings Beach, which isn't too far. The ride is in the undeveloped area of Tahoe, so around Incline or the state line are prob your best bets.

May be too advanced though... you may be walking a lot. Flume is very scenic and pretty easy. Just don't fall, it's a long way down.
