What a fantastic turnout for the GTG despite the weather forecast! I did not get an exact count, but I think about 50 cars showed, including two, yes TWO brand new 2008 S5s!!!

Thanks again to our sponsors for raffle prizes, including Phil @ Detailers Domain for the detailing products, Team Janica Racing for the shirts and plate frames, AudiWorld for plate frames, and the North Atlantic Audi CLub for shirts. I think the prizes were well received.

Lighting was not ideal for photos...a few pics were blurry even with the tripod.

Thanks again everyone for making this last outdoor event a great time!!! We'll certainly have some events over the winter, including meets at the Atrium (if we can still hookup with the valet folks over there), and the NAAC gathering at Burlington Audi on November 15th (more on that later).

I had an amazing time. It was great to see so many people come out on a beautiful late October evening. I am still amazed that it didn't rain. No complaints from me though.

Here were the highlights for me, in no particular order.

- The two brand new B8 S5's, each less than a week old. Roswell, your S5 with the LEDs turned on looks sinister. I love the front facia.
- Hearing Roswell's S5 pull out of the lot for one of the many test drives he gave during the evening. That exhaust note, even at low throttle, is so deep and intoxicating.
- Having BD take my A4 for a quick spin around the lot so I could here my new Milltek exhaust from the outside, something that I had not had a chance to experience in the 3+ weeks I've had it on the car. Boy was I grinning ear to ear.
- Getting to drive BD's A6 around the lot so he could hear a clicking/gridding sound coming from the right rear wheel that we heard when he was driving around the lot showing off the rumble of his RS6 Sound Enhanced Exhaust.
- Having FinallyS4 take me for a short spin in his soon to be replaced S4 so I could compare the feel to the supercharged 3.0 I rode in last week. (SC'ed 3.0 is a bit quicker off the line, but the V8 of the B6 S4 is still very strong).
- Giving Greg and Vijay a short ride in my 3.0 so they could hear my Milltek from inside the cabin.
- Letting Greg try my S4 door blades on his well put together Dolphin 1.8T so he could see if he liked the blades with his Caractere side skirts. I liked the look. Glad we would do the experiment.
