my car is Audi q5 2016 has a problem with HDD (strange noise) in mmi. on the monitor i see note "initializing media please wait ... ".
I thing clone of HDD will not be possible. If i will by new MMI media is it work direct or i will need activation code?

You'll need to reset component protection if you replace the J794. Plus, you may or may not need to update the firmware on it as well as the navigation database on the hard drive. It might be easier to just replace the hard drive, skipping the CP issue. But I don't know if people sell the hard drive alone. DrGER will know more of the possibilities for the 3G unit.
