Stolen wheels/tires/WTB new summer tires. Rhode Island
F'ing dirty thieves stole 3 of my 4 summer tires from my A4. The kicker is that they were just put on yesterday afternoon at my local town fair tire. Nobody has seen the car because I came after work and parked the car back against the garage, bordered on 1 side by shrubs, and on the other side by my wifes Jeep. You can barely see the car, let alone the tires as you drive by.
Whoever stole them knew to bring 4 cinder blocks (1 was left behind) and the right size socket for the Audi lugs. I'm so F'ing pissed right now. Only an employee of TFT could have known exactly where to go last night and what to bring. I didn't even get to have them on the car for 12 hours. WTF!?!?!
The nice folks at Amica told me honestly that if I file a claim, my policy is just going to go up by the amount of the payout, so that's nice. At least they were honest. Looks like I'm eating this one.
If you could please keep your eyes out for 3 of the wheel/tire pictured below, I'd be grateful. Someone deserves a baseball bat to the face for this one. Wheels are Sport Edition, tires are Sumitomo HTRZ II 225/45/zr17.
Also, if you are looking to unload a set of 17's for summer, I'm all ears.
Thanks guys
Tony

Sorry to hear. That really sucks. I'd suspect some scumbag who works for Town Fair too, it's just
damn near impossible to prove. Unless you drive by and someone has your wheels on their car, but I doubt even some scumbag like that would be *quite* that stupid.

Sorry to hear but......
sounds like this made it really easy for them to steal them:
"Nobody has seen the car because I came after work and parked the car back against the garage, bordered on 1 side by shrubs, and on the other side by my wifes Jeep. You can barely see the car, let alone the tires as you drive by."
Do you have a motion-activated light in this area?
You might want to put one in if not.
Hope everything works out for you.

2nd that...file a police report immediately! They might be able to dust for fingerprints...
I am sure they were wearing gloves, but you never know.
Why did they steal only 3 wheels? they couldn't take the 4th one off or?

Re: Sorry to hear but......
Sensor light goes up tonight after work. it's a really nice area. The retiree next door heard them stop at 3am, but didn't go out to investigate, luckily. I'd hate for him to have gotten hurt by the bad guys.
Nobody else was hurt either, just a bit of scratched paint.
The police came by and we had a nice long chat. He immediately figured it for an inside job and was passing it along to the detectives. However, as someone else said, damn hard to prove. Stupid rules against torture
They must have gotten scared off by a passing car before getting to the 4th wheel. They also abandoned the 4th cinder block along the side of the road.
Bright side is that if I can find a similar set of wheels to replace these, I'll have a full-size spare.
Pics from this morning Poor thing
