imo, its really a preference thing...
...some (including me) are more comfortable "shuffle steering" than keeping the hands locked at ~9 and 3...i've tried to break myself of shuffle steering in the past and but i could just never get comfortable keeping my hands in one position...i seem to be doing fairly well with it, so i think i'll keep doing what i'm doing ;-)

nah, i keep the beer in my on-board hydration system...
...with spare beers in the cool-suit cooler! ;-)
