Default None of the stock breath guards work...

...which is why you need one of these. I won't ride without it in my helmet. I've bought two but only because I got tired of taking it in and out of one of my helmets for the other. I haven't found any product that works better...especially for $20.

In fact...almost everything Respro makes is a great product. Here's their website:

http://www.respro.com/

Check their stuff out...it's pretty cool stuff. Also, you can use the dealer locator to see if anyone is selling them nearby so you don't have to order it online.

http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Respro_Foggy_Mask--502324.html</a

Default I will say that if you swap windshields a lot Shoei has Arai beat on the removal process

I always felt like i was going to snap something when muscling out the Arai shield.

Default My Shoei RF1000 came with one, but it's removeable.

also comes with a piece of elastic that goes under the chin.

Default Sure thing! =) It really is a great product...

...it fits flush right on your cheeks and is soft (which is nice for us baby-skinned folks =P). Most of the stock guards are hard plastic or a some scratchy material hybrid. It's also washable! I can't remember if that was in the description or not. I'd recommend one to every rider with a full face helmet.

Default Agreed. After swapping shields a billion times...

...it gets much easier. Did you read the manual with your Arai and see where it said the mechanism was designed to be able to change shileds on the fly...like while it's on your head!? I loled so long when I read that.

Default oval head=Arai, round head=Shoei

also, the Shoei X-11 line has a slightly smaller fit than the other Shoei.

Im rocking a Shoei X-11 since my noggins is round. Consider Suomy if you have the same head shape.

I'd like to see that. If I swapped it without the side cover popping off I was stoked!

Default And the winner is......

Went back to my local shop. Tried the Arai RX7, Arai Vector and Shoei RF-1000. I really had to try them all on in succession several times to really try to tell which was better. The winner in overall fit and comfort by the ever so slightest margin you can imagine.... the Shoei!

With fit being so close, the whole process to swap shield looked so much easier on the Shoei.

This morning I used our good friend EDness and DI's connection and called up Motoneko and ordered this one... should be here mid next week:
