What is the actual legal tint limit here?

I run 35% all the way around on both cars, never had one problem. Rob on the other hand...
Well, maybe you ought to talk to him. Seems he did a nice job pissing a cop off and to really throw the book at him, the cop got him on his tint which is also 35% all the way around.
I agree, the split look reminds me of NJ even though they do no tint on the front window. And well, anybody who knows me knows how I feel about that state.

Hmmmm... Mine was not a fix it ticket.
I didn't have to go to court and prove it was fixed. I am sure he did that just for the fine money. So does it still count as non-compliance?

I did 50% all around...
I too didn't want the light/dark thing going on with my tint, and at the time the car was registered in PA where tint is pretty much illegal, and I didn't want to draw any excessive attention to the fact I had my windows tinted.
When I do the tint in the 4000 though I'll probably shoot for 35%, but that's cuz I have a black interior and now no longer have A/C :-P
You'll probably be fine with 35% though.

That sucks.
Other than that one time, I really have not had a problem with the tint. Been pulled over many times before too. Got away with no tickets all but that one time. The cops around Culpepper are notorious for giving out tickets for almost anything. Strange, because I would have thought no front license plate was worse, and the cop noticed that on my car, too.
