Default i've been taking my car to Curry's for years.

i've always felt that i could trust their advice and i've never had a problem with anything that they have fixed.

i personally wouldn't contact HBL for further explanation if the opinions are as far apart as these seem to be. it may be unfair, but imho, once a line is perceived to be crossed, there's no going back. however, if HBL had built up a reserve of goodwill with you for good service in the past, they might deserve a call.

my $.02

Default Well, IMO you should just not ever go back there and I would do the same.

I think the call might still be a good idea but obviously up to you.

Default If it makes you feel better, another dealer in the M-A tried to charge me $200/hr for labor (and

an extra hour of labor for a timing belt job. Not to mention the 20% additional markup on parts he quoted me compared to what another service rep there quoted afterwards.

If you're curious what stealership, I posted on the forums about it a while back.

Default Last year I went to HBL and their 100k mile check-up cost was about $1,600

and they said "That includes our special oils and oil filter and all the air cabin filters~!" I could see his proud *** serving customers with quality service.

oh and I added, "do you drop the engine down? or transmission??" and he looked at me like Im a tard.....

I walked out....

The end.....................

Default However, I'm sure the majority of their customer base may not think twice about that kind of bill

Which has allowed them to live on this kind of selling tactic.
