Default Suggestions for front plates/tags vs. drilling holes

We finally got ticketed for no front tags. Never had issues with County Police but the MD State Trooper had other ideas. BTW it was $60.

I really don't want to drill holes into the bumper for the frame. Will 3M double sided tape work? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, does anyone know if, after paying the ticket, do we have to get the car inspected at a police station? Do they physically inspect the plate?

Thanks!

Default Maybe try this:

Yes, its written for a B5 S4, but you can probably apply it to a B6 with some work<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2514990.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2514990.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default I got a license plate bracket, bolted the plate to the bracket, and used 3M double sided tape. It's

held up for 3 years now.

I don't think the tape would work well if you applied it directly to the plate; hence I used the bracket.

Default If its a ticket, you just pay it....if its a work order, you need to have a Trooper sign off.

Also, Id go the double-sided tape route; put small (1"x1") squares anywhere the metal plate would touch paint...it should be easy enough to take off later but wont fall off on the beltway.

Unless you got a repair order you don't need to go to a MSP barracks, just pay the ticket and you are good. What year and color do you have? I would swap even if interested, I don't have that problem with front tags.
