as high as the cost of living is around here, a day off might result in an eviction next month.

Default It got me. My secretary's child care people are from Brazil and honored the picket line.
My secretary had to stay home and attend to her children. This is not the first time that the day care has cancelled without notice, so my secretary is searching for new day care.

The daycare provider is very small (about 4 kids per day), and two of them are from my secretary. So, the daycare provider lost half of her business because of her strike.
