Default Whoa, I heard it was a rough one but DAMN! At least you didn't pull a Paul Chandler move...

...and get all the way INTO the tirewall. Paul was right next to us in the pits, arob took some photos of the damage. At least he was OK.

Glad you didn't have a similar excursion, that would have scared me off the track for the rest of the event. :/

Speaking of which, I'm DYING to see what I looked like dipping a wheel off at hogpen. I know Ed was behind me in another students car, but he doesn't have a camcorder installed in his nugget, unfortunately. :P

Default Yo! I'm gonna throw my videos onto DVDs, you want one? If so, email me your address.

Fresh off the camera, Day 1 alone is almost 2 DVDs worth (8 GBs)! I'll chop them down some without loosing the great quality and crank out a handful for those were filmed/involved.

PS - Damn I wish you had a rear-facing cam during my demonstration of 'pucker power' at turn 17/17a.

Default Yeah, i was fighting a big push...

caused by a tire pressure problem. Plus I was impatient. All the bad things I tell my students not to do came together for me at one defining moment.

I tend to be a bit early in 10 most times anyway. Just a bit. But when the car wouldn't turn down to the apex I knew I was done for. :-P

I was faster through there later that weekend when I was chasing youa nd Eric around.

If your car was front-biased (weight), would it have stayed straight in the grass?

Default i dont think it would have mattered...

...the huge hole he hit is what seemed to have caused the spin...he was along for the ride at that point...

the spin probably helped him slow down some too, looks he was heading towards the tire wall/corner station and not slowing down very much (thanks to the wet ground) before the spin...

when KJ was telling me about it, i didnt think it was nearly as bad what the video shows, definitely scary stuff...

That never would have happened had you been thinking of the apex as an 'aaw'

Default Great to meet you, Tony. I don't think I ever came across you on the track, though.

I think I staged behind you once and after Turn 1, you were hauling like a bat out of hell! You made that car WORK.

Congrats to the "Green" groupers - we survived to drive another day!
