Yeah, I know I'm generalizing about the drivers
I still hate the cars though. Like I said, previous generation STI only. I've driven a brand new one of this current generation and I have to say, I was really impressed. It wasn't until the end of my drive that I realized that I could change the bias of the AWD and turn on all those different modes the thing has.

lol, not when the tach drops to zero at 4k :-P
still haven't figured out why it does that.
And neal's car will smoke the 4000 w/ all exception except raw sound. And that's only b/c the 5cyl motor is raunchy sounding and not as smooth as a V6. That being said, I love the exhaust note/motor noises of the 5cyl motor

no, the instrument cluster loses signal from the ECU...
as the tach on the ECU never cuts off. Not sure what the deal is, but I haven't had a chance to take a reading off the wire going to the IC to see if it's losing signal.
This is a new IC too, so it might be something in my wiring (not a great ground?) that might be funky.
You do know when to shift, though. As once you start getting near 6k, it sounds like a piston wants to fly out the top :-P
