Default I didn't think it was possible to do w/o debt! ;)

I went straight from high school to college to law school. 7 years of school, and I've been out for 3 years, and I'm still over $100k in debt. School loans have decent interest rates though and are often seen as "good debt" when applying for mortgages and the like. (As opposed to credit cards maxed-out type of debt!)

There are lots of financial aid programs out there, keep your eyes open. Good luck with whatever route you pick!

Default that's a good choice...

easier to get a job, and usually college grads gets paid more.

I was lucky...my parents paid for my college.

Default Advice

A good, inexpensive, option may be to attend a community college for the first couple of years and then go onto a state school from there (UVA, GMU, etc). Also look into scholarships that may be applicable to you based on your past grades, interests, and even heritage.

Best of luck, I think it's a great decision. Plus, you'll meet lots of cute college girls that you can bring to Rock Bottom

Default I did the full-time student / part-time work thing and finished in 4 years @ GMU...

Luckily I got grants for the first year or 2 and took out a student loan the last few years. I actually scheduled my classes around work so I was able to make some money to pay for stuff. I also lived at home (less then 10 miles away) so I wasn't pinned down w/ dorm and housing expenses. I think I was doing about 25 hours of work a week. You also gotta find a job that is that flexible with you.

What kind of job are you looking for? It's best to try and find a office job as opposed to retail...IMO.

Default Good plan! The key here is finding one of those jobs that's lax (so you can study) and pays well

they do exist.
