Default Baltimore Folks, an FYI on red light cameras

There are new Phase II cameras that are digital. They will send you and ticket with a
picture but you will also be given an ID number where you can go online
and watch yourself running the red light. They look like glass bubbles
and will not flash as you go through the light. There was an article in
the Sun paper over the weekend.

be careful.....

I don't feel sorry for people who get caught running red light.

Default I agree, but at the same time, Red Light Cameras are hardly perfect

a lot of times they are set up to go off quicker than they normally should, increasing revenue not only for the state, but for the makers/maintenance companies of the cameras...my message wasn't intended as a way to pick which red lights to run...moreso a simple courtesy to folks to be aware

Default besides I have gotten two tickets in bmore cnty, where

camera took my picture, even though I did not get into "the box." In both cases the judge said "you should come to a more gradual stop."
It was a pain in the *** going in for offenses I did not commit... a Sun article showed that the yellow light at that location, was about 1.5 seconds shorter than the average yellow in the cnty....******!

Default I'll doublecheck, but I believe that list is incomplete. Light/Conway is not listed

I'm pretty sure there's a phase 1 cam there....I'll check closely on the way home today.

Default I was .4 seconds late crossing the white line at Snowden River pkwy and Broken Land pkwy

a few years ago.....

driving at a reasonable speed, it was raining out, the light has a long yellow, I decided it was safer to proceed through than it was to stop.

While technically I was wrong, realistically the situation was fine.... .4 seconds, in the pic, it looked like my bumper was directly over the line...coulda gone either way in court according to a lawyer friend, but didn't have time to fight it that day.

No big deal, $75, 0 points.
