Default why would they be aiming to cannibalize the A4 market share?

Default I have to disgree... I think this is a vast improvement over the current designs....
Current Golf IMHO is just fugly.. the next gen one is so much better looking. Along with the Scirocco, they have me thinking about buying one over and Audi.

the pedestrian regs in Europe seem to require a taller, flatter nose.

Default The CC is shorter than the regular Passat by 3"
Or so they say. The side windows look shorter, and just about everyone has to watch their head getting in and out.
