Default Audi Driving Experience anyone?

Have a long road trip coming up next week... sister's wedding in northern VT. Going to be driving about <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Falls+Church,+VA+220 44&daddr=I-95+N+%4039.520330,+-76.198930+to:41.052784,+-75.508768+to:Isle+La+Motte,+Grand+Isle,+Vermont,+U nited+States+to:st.+james,+ny+to:8433+Leesburg+Pik e,+Vienna,+VA+22182&mrcr=3&mra=mr&sll=41.930005,-75.258735&sspn=11.634073,20.43457&ie=UTF8&ll=41.93 4977,-75.27832&spn=11.634073,20.43457&z=6&om=1">1,324 miles round trip</a> from DC to Poconos Raceway for the <a href="http://www.audidrivingexperience.com/?area=event&track_id=317">Audi Driving Experience</a>, then on to Winooski, VT (Home of Kris Hansen and Axis Motorsport). On the way home I'll be stopping by StutterinJ's place on Long Island to pick up my roll bar and hang out for a bit.

Just wanted to see if anyone else wanted to go to the <a href="http://www.audidrivingexperience.com/?area=event&track_id=317">Audi Driving Experience</a> last minute. Should be similar to the Audi quattro Challenge from back in 2001 that some of us did.

Default $595 for a 1/2 day program....are you CRAZY? Unless I get nonstop track time in an R8, I'll pass.

However, I'll be in Maine while you're in Vermont. Yay, more miles on the car!

Default 2 hours? What, I get lectured on car control then go do 1 run of braking, emergency lane change,

and skidpad? Meh.

Though it does look like they'll have the A5 there. That would be awesome.

I'm spending 2 days in Portland...that's all I know right now.

Default I'll be 30 miles away from you in Waterbury Center, VT

I'll be at the Thunder Road race track (as a spectator) on Thursday night. Come join up with some old guys.

Default I can't tell you how happy I am that they dropped Panoz.....

Since we work with all the schools, Panoz was terrible.

The new Emotive Group (Russell) should do a great job with the Audi driving programs!

Default My buddies from college are getting together next weekend. We will definitely be there on Thursday.

Thursday night is the night they race at that track. You are welcome to join us.

Shoot me an email with your email address (I don't know which email address works for you) and I'll shoot you my cell phone number.

Default IIRC, Maserati does a similar event annually over in Italy......

2x every year, and costs $3000/day. On the plus side though, you drive thier cars(Gransports), prepped for race. ;-D
