When you have sections of the city referred to as 'Little Italy' what do you expect? :-P

Default Very tasty. Started with the calamari. I had the Scaloppine di Vitello Porcini

a nice veal scaloppine in a mushroom-cream sauce. Friend had the Pasta Bolognese - looked good and she cleaned her plate...so I'll assume it was good. Chocolate mousse cake for dessert.

I would like to try their veal chop at some point, but I wasn't THAT hungry.

There was singing by the owner/maitre'd. It was a nice spot. I had been there years ago, but kinda forgot about it.

Not a cheap night, but well worth it.

Glad to hear. I've always loved that place.

Default And yet, all the Italians around here say to avoid Little Italy too. Haha.

The Bronx apparently has way better Italian food than Little Italy in Manhattan.

Default Your guess is as good as mine... though I can't say that surprises me...

things tend to get hyped up and then the quality slides.
