THANK YOU for accepting me into the community. I inherited an 2005 A4 from my father with 256,000 miles. I have a recurring problem. My trunk lock won't work unless I tap it rather forcefully. I took it apart last year, cleaned and lubricated it all. It worked much better except when the weather got cold - I live in Vermont - . Now this summer it has returned, I haven't taken it apart as of yet, but, I'm thinking about using graphite instead of grease or oil. Can these be easily replaced? Should I ? I'm getting concerned about having to tap the lock and close the trunk forcefully in order to get it to lock. Thanks for your help. Thomas
