    Stla6, the line that runs up over the engine becomes brittle and snaps like a chip. I just ran my hand down the tube and you'll be able to tell where the tubes starts being bendable/good. Just cut it and attached new tubing. I used hose clamps likeAutoCraft Emergency Hose Clamp Kit, Assortment (6-Pack) AC5204V: Advance Auto Parts

    Be Careful not to overtighten the clamp (I did) or the error will return.

    Nothfork, I have the exact same problem you had with the broken vac tubing. I just read your thread about the broken vacuum line. Excellent fix btw. as I was reading the thread audi bug suggested you use less expensive tubing. afterwards you thanked him for his help. My question is what and where did you connect that hose to? my personal email is ros.sas@hotmail.com
