    HI there, I had the same question you did in regard to the position of the cam adjusters. The adjusters and the camshafts do not appear to be indexed at all and the factory manual doesnt mention it. I dont believe you have to position the cam adjusters in any specific position on the camshafts. They should just be bolted on seated firmly (straight) on the cam. A few guys have messaged me after following my tutorial without issue. Ive put about 5k miles on mine so far and it runs great. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.

    Hi thank you for the diy on upper chain tensioner I have a 05.5 audi a4 3.2 I'm replacing the upper chain tensioners on both banks I have lockt both cam shafts with the special tool. I replaced the passenger side chain tensioner I did mark the intake cam adjuster but exhaust cam adjuster the mark was erase is there any other marks that I have to follow up, my problem is how a line up the camshaft adjusters do they got to be a certain way do both sides driver and passenger have to match up ,you said (and make sure both adjusters are on straight.) how can you help me out ?
