Hey there, sorry to hear that happened to you. Based on my understanding, the plug that you and I drained is the intake plug, and not the drain plug (if it was the drain plug, all of the fluid would come out). I'd say it's not a huge issue, (I also drove it around a couple of kilometers after the oil loss) but for some peace of mind, I did use this big syringe (you can get one off amazon or your local hardware store) and modified the tip to house another plug so you can inject the fluid it back in. You'll definitely need a 2nd person to help you plug the exposed intake hole momentarily when you're in between using the syringe. Car drove fine for the remaining 30,000km of ownership with it.
