Hope you don't mind me reaching out to you
Been searching for anyone with the same stiff steering problem on their Q7 as mine is quite stiff. Came across your post about the universal joint on the steering column, which is the same problem I've got. I'm trying to remove just the lower part of the steering column (the one in the picture in the post) however I can't seem get only that bit of it off. Did you remove the joint from the car at all or did you manage to get it re-lubricated still attached to the car?
