Nope never resolved it. As I never hear it when driving in the driver seat. And only one of my friends ever noticed a noise when sitting in back. Probably the wheel bearings but as its such a low noise I don't care to replace it as its just a noise. There are other things I would fix before this but the cost doesn't warrant the benefit from fixing it. Such as the minor exhaust leak, intermittent drivers door soft lock button, and a sometimes dipped drivers headlight which is always fixed the next day.

I hope you do not mind me sending this message. I was wondering about something you posted a few months ago. Some humming noise that increased with speed from your A8. Did you ever manage to figure that out? I believe I had that noise, then it just disappeared from the front of my car. When it was making noise it was obviously a bearing, but no noise when turning. My noise just all of a sudden vanished. But I feel like knowing what that noise was, in anticipation for it happening again in the future would be nice to know. Thanks for your time!

there wasn't anything in particular that was wrong but i've read on the boards that the software was sort of a ticking time bomb and prone to errors and crashing. its much better to update. everything runs smoother and faster.
