Hey Reggie. I am looking for one replacement wheel (stock 18", part no. 8E0601025AN, anthracite finish i think) to complete the set. Any ideas of a good place to get one? Thanks, Riddler S4

Thought about you as I'm in Colorado (Denver) for a family wedding. Took a ride out I-70 and through the Eisenhower Tunnel - awesome ride. Really wish I had my cab and not some rental thing. How great to live and drive out here - just beautiful. Best Wishes

    Hey Reggie

Snooping around the Q5 forum because I'm "thinking" about painting the calipers red on my wife's Q5. Her car is a 3.2 Metallic Gray with the SLine package. (20" wheels).

Saw where you did yours on your Q5. Are you happy with them? Also, did you consider using the decals offered on Ebay? Kind of like the S Line decal but couldn't find those.

I did my corvette calipers in red, and have plenty of paint left over for the Q5. So no big deal there.

Let me know when you have time.

I'm Grocery Getter on the forum.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Sloop,

There is truth to the story that smaller diameter wheels work better for track use but as wheels have been getting lighter along with the tires as well as suspensions being more designed for the larger rims this is less of a issue. 18lbs is fantastic. For track use that is great. For street use you could be risking it based on your local roads and pot holes. Forged rims are stronger though. I would do it but accept the risks on the street. Make sure that the wheels are not in short supply in case you bend one and need it quickly

    Hey Reggie,
Speaking of forged wheels, StaSIS has some 19" forged wheels (18 lbs) on sale
and I was thinking about using them on the street and track except for the winter time.
I was looking for some track wheels for my TT anyway. I was told 19"wheels wouldn't work
well on the track because of the high rotational mass. If that is the case, why would StaSIS use the big wheels on their racing cars ? I am a little confused . . .
