    I still tie them for myself. I used to tie for production. Mostly trout.

    after a long time, I switched to salmon flies, which are more for show than actual fishing. They're extremely challenging and really gorgeous in full dress. I continued with trout patterns, but a much more limited number of patterns, and ones that I could produce quickly.

    Nowadays I just tie for myself. I don't do anymore production. I guess it lost it's appeal. I fish for trout, sea-run cutthroat, and salmon, depending on the time of year. I use a handful of patterns for each. I still do the occasional full-dress salmon pattern, just for fun.

    Anyway, probably more than you wanted to know, but there it is.
