I'm an S7 owner too and am looking to purchase a radar detector (thinking seriously about the Passport Max, which judging from your posts, you seem to have too). I read a number of posts where you were asking about custom mounts out of the way which don't interfere with the visor. I was curious if you ever found a suitable location.

Also: did you hardwire the unit? Did you do it yourself or have an install shop do it?
