    Pete, I emailed you about my damaged cam a few days ago. It's in a 96 12v Quattro. I have not heard the engine run, so I only know what I can see with the VC off. I have a good used cam, but I need to know if it's a mistake to replace it without removing the head to check the #1 valve that broke the lifter and damaged the cam lobe.
