Hello Brozee, I read one of your post concerning no start/crank for a 2005 A8L. Hopefully for me you can lead me in the right direction. My problem is: I parked my 05 A8L went back to start it it would not start however everything lights up but it will not crank. Had battery checked it registered 12.5 volts. My real question is how do you reset the ignition?

Hey Brozee! I notice that you have / had an '07 A8L W12. I'm seriously considering the same. What is your opinion about the reliability of that car/engine - especially with 80K+ miles? Seems like an awesome car, but have had a couple of BMW 750's and ran into major problems and $$$....just want to avoid that. Thanks!

Hey I'm new to the forum, I live in Michigan too. I have a 2011 S5, 2013 Q7 and a 2007 Q7. I noticed you had a posting about clearing a break pad warning, did you ever figure out the process via VCDS. I just received my Ross-Tech Vag Com and saw some instructions but they were a little confusing to me. The error is showing on my 2007 Q7. I would appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thank you.

Nope never resolved it. As I never hear it when driving in the driver seat. And only one of my friends ever noticed a noise when sitting in back. Probably the wheel bearings but as its such a low noise I don't care to replace it as its just a noise. There are other things I would fix before this but the cost doesn't warrant the benefit from fixing it. Such as the minor exhaust leak, intermittent drivers door soft lock button, and a sometimes dipped drivers headlight which is always fixed the next day.

I hope you do not mind me sending this message. I was wondering about something you posted a few months ago. Some humming noise that increased with speed from your A8. Did you ever manage to figure that out? I believe I had that noise, then it just disappeared from the front of my car. When it was making noise it was obviously a bearing, but no noise when turning. My noise just all of a sudden vanished. But I feel like knowing what that noise was, in anticipation for it happening again in the future would be nice to know. Thanks for your time!
