Default damn. the M5 is going to need new rotors front and back before blackhawk...

$2600 is the estimated bill for parts and labor

Service advisor will contact me again to see if it can be covered under warranty but because the stupid iDrive on-board diagnostic blew the whistle to service department (via BMW telematics) that I overheated the brakes somehow, it might not be. He seems to be on my side so we'll see.

But overheated the brakes? Wha? Who? Me? Dunno how that could've possibly happened! O:-)

Technology really sucks sometimes... not only is there a "blackbox" that records all the goings-on on the car to a more detailed degree than ever, it actually friggin transmits this info to service departments to rat on you if you've done something wrong.

I really doubt they need replacement. I think a fluid flush and fill will do it.

Default I thought not too but then again...

I'm already on my 3rd set of brake pads front and back and I think those long 30 minute full-track sessions at abcc with PDI really did overheat them plenty.

I would ask them to resurface the rotors instead of replacing them.
