so you automatically change hyperlinks
to your own site? I typed in www.quattroeorld.com in my sig and when I save it, it is saved as www.audiworld.com Just another reason the members and the advertisers are leaving your site. Way to go IB you guys suck the big donkey *****

Disparaging language notwithstanding, you do have a point.
Changing the links from qu@77r0w0r1d.c0m to audiworld is censorship in its most ugly sense. I don't mind removing cuss words, like winkle and vibraphone, but edit another website reference to point back to yourself is just plain petty, underhanded and pathetic.
Seriously, it marks this site as being run by a bunch of sore losers. If you want to win this, play fair and be the bigger man. Don't resort to this kind of tactic. It accomplishes nothing except generate more anger.

I don't know who is responsible for either the idea or implementation, but either way is makes the powers of Audiworld seem like a bunch of petulant prissy schoolgirls.

Personally, I'm on both sites. Each has pros and cons and I plan to visit both. I don't pay much mind to folks who bash things just because they are different.
What I do mind is having a site change what I write for reasons that are seemingly personal and petty. I don't mind censoring cusswords, but changing a reference to a competing site is simply juvenile.
Eventually, this tempest will subside, but that policy will never, ever cease to irk me. I can live with the rest of the changes at Audiworld, but I'm not certain I can live with such petty, self-absorbed censorship.

Because it's a weak, chicken**** move, Kris.
I can understand the frustration you must be feeling watching IB burn AW to the ground, but you're actually supporting their editing of hyperlinks?
